From July to September you have music all over the country. Not only this is a way of having great entertainment but also to travel around the country and get to know small villages or towns that would have been out of your itinerary.

From 8/11 Aug, if you are in the Alentejo, drive to Portalegre to see the Andanças Festival, dedicated to Portuguese bands.  While you are there don’t miss the Tapestry Museum and a short drive to historic towns of Castelo de Vide and MarvãoEnjoy the nice views and the delicious gastronomy.

Head north towards Tomar, to listen more Portuguese music from 11 to 14 August. You will be able to hear some important names such as Samuel Úria (13th August) and Rodrigo Leão, ex Madre Deus (14th August). During the day visit the unique Convento de Cristo.

Further north, from 16 to 19 August, in Paredes de Coura, you have one of the oldest and most iconic international music festival in Portugal: Kate Tempest, Nick Murphy, Young Fathers and Benjamin Clementine are some of this year bands.
