Even if you just have one day in the beautiful capital of Portugal, there are some places you have to visit.
Start visiting the São Jorge Castle. From the walls you can see the whole city, the Tagus River and the wonderful views. Walk from Portas do Sol viewpoint to the Romanesque Cathedral. Here you can see the church, the Treasury Museum and also the cloisters. If you take the Tram 28, you will arrive at the city centre.

In the afternoon, visit one of the most important museums in the country, the National Museum of Ancient Art. Here you can find a remarkable collection of sculpture, jewelry and Portuguese and European painting.
Continue the museum tour to the Coach Museum. It’s located in Belem, by the Tagus River, and presents an outstanding collection of carriages used by Portuguese and European courts.
To finish the day you must taste one of the wonders of Portuguese cuisine, the original Pastéis de Belém, a secret recipe recreated every day, by hand, using only traditional methods.
